Physical Activities

  • Musical Chairs
A classic game of musical chairs would fit right in at a tea party. For this game, set out some chairs in a circle but have one less chair than the number of people playing. When the music stops playing, everyone finds a chair. The person who couldn’t find a chair is out. Keep removing chairs until one last player remains. To give this game a tea party twist, try replacing the chairs with pictures of tea cups on the floor.
  • Sugar Cube Stacking Contest
Challenge your guests to a sugar cube stacking contest. Whoever can stack their cubes the highest without having them fall over is the winner. To make this game even more fun, have your guests stack them on their forehead.

  • Tea Spoon Relay Race

  • Musical Statues
A game of musical statues is a great way to let your guests burn off some energy through dance. Play some music and watch as everyone begins dancing. When the music shuts off, everyone must freeze. For a tea party theme, have your guests freeze with their arms shaped like a teapot.
  • Pass the Teapot
Just like hot potato, have your guests pass around a teapot with some music playing in the background. Whoever is holding the teapot when the must is stopped is out. Repeat until there is one player left.
  • Tea Bag Toss
Set out some tea pots at different spots on the ground and see if your guests can land a tea bag inside of one. Make the tea bags different sizes and shapes to change the difficulty level of each toss.
